RIYADH: The Saudi aid organization King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered food aid to vulnerable populations in Yemen, Sudan, and Lebanon, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
In Yemen, KSrelief distributed 1,795 food parcels to the neediest families across various governorates as part of the 2024 Yemen Food Assistance Distribution Project. To date, this initiative has benefited 12,565 individuals in Yemen this year, SPA reported.
The Al-Jawf governorate alone received 2,539 food baskets. The overall goal is to provide food aid to 253,659 people across nine Yemeni governorates this year.
In Lebanon, KSrelief continued its Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project in Akkar Governorate and Al-Minieh District. From July 25 to July 31, the project distributed 25,000 bags of bread to Syrians, Palestinians, and Lebanese in need, benefiting 12,500 families.
In Sudan, the agency handed out 1,256 shelter and personal care kits to displaced families, benefiting 3,611 individuals as part of the Emergency Shelter Assistance Project for the Republic of Sudan.
