KSrelief Provides Medical Services to Over 2,271 Syrian Refugees in Jordan

AMMAN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided medical services to around 2,271 patients in the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan during the 2nd week of July, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

According to the SPA, last week, the general medicine clinics examined and dispensed medications to about 605 patients. The internal medicine clinic has also examined 117 patients, and the pediatric clinic attended to 202 kids. The emergency department has also received 199 patients, and the dental clinic attended to around 137 patients.

Moreover, 172 females visited the gynecology clinic. The ear, nose, and throat clinic also treated about 52 patients suffering from sinus, tonsil, pharynx, and middle ear infections. 45 patients visited the clinic for eye treatment while the cardiology clinic saw around 28 patients, and the diagnostic radiology clinic served about 31 patients.

According to the SPA, furthermore, 472 laboratory tests were carried out on 205 patients, and 145 x-rays were performed for around 98 patients. The vaccination clinic also administered 233 vaccines to 85 patients, and medications for chronic diseases were given to 227 patients.

The health education department has also provided guidance to about 68 beneficiaries, and the pharmacy also handled 1,332 prescriptions.
