RIYADH: The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has delivered vocational tools to 40 women in Seiyun Directorate in Yemen’s Hadhramaut Governorate, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The women benefiting from an empowerment program are the sole breadwinners for orphans.

The project is part of a project to re-enroll girls who dropped out of school in Yemen in cooperation with KSrelief and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). It focused to support orphaned girls by providing their families with training and skills in various fields.

The aim is to empower these families to become self-reliant by offering 14 educational and training courses, including embroidery, sewing, food industries, technology, perfume making, and photography.

By attaining these skills, the families will be able to improve their economic and social status, ultimately benefiting from the education of their daughters.

The project aims to help 280 trainees in different governorates of Yemen, including Lahj, Abyan, Marib, Hadhramaut, and Socotra.

The project is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to help families and promote the importance of education for girls. The project is being implemented by the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom, KSrelief.
