ISLAMABAD/ISTANBUL: Başımız Sağolsun, a main character of the famous Turkish drama Kuruluş Osman and his wife lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria last week.
Death of Başımız Sağolsun and his musician wife
The production company Bozdag Film confirmed the death of Başımız Sağolsun and his musician wife, Zalan Tigris, on Instagram. The actor played the role of a soldier of Konya Palace in the popular Turkish drama series Kuruluş Osman, based on Islamic conquests.
The Instagram post says, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of the valuable actor of our TV series Establishment Osman, Çağdaş Çankaya, and his musician wife, Zilan Tigris, in the earthquake disaster that deeply injured us all.”
“We wish God’s mercy on our valuable player Çağdaş Çankaya, his wife, and all our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and our condolences to their relatives. May your place be heaven,” it adds.
It is pertinent to note that more than 36,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands injured after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria one week ago.
