KUWAIT: In a continued effort to support the people of the Gaza Strip, Kuwait has dispatched three humanitarian aid airplanes, carrying a total of 90 tons of diverse relief supplies. This brings the overall number of humanitarian aid flights from Kuwait to Gaza to 24.

Khaled Al-Zaid, Director of Public Relations and Media Department at the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), stated before take-off that the cumulative relief aid from the Kuwaiti air bridge has now reached approximately 600 tons. These efforts are the result of collaborative initiatives involving various Kuwaiti charitable societies and bodies, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KRCS, the Egyptian Red Crescent, and the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Kuwait’s Humanitarian Aid for Gaza

Al-Zaid noted that about 90 percent of the Kuwaiti relief aid has successfully reached Gaza. Despite challenges posed by the separation of the northern and southern parts of Gaza by Israeli forces, the Palestinian Red Crescent has efficiently distributed aid in the southern region.

Director General of Al-Salam, Dr. Nabeel Al-Aoun, reported that the relief aid provided by Al-Salam and IICO (International Islamic Charitable Organization) since the crisis began amounts to approximately 210 tons, with a total value exceeding USD 3 million.

Al-Salam is set to dispatch a substantial relief plane on Tuesday, including tents, ambulances, shelter materials, clothing, refrigerators, and more, in response to the specific needs identified by the PRCS.

Diplomatic Attaché for Development and International Cooperation Affairs at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saad Al-Nawaif, affirmed that the air bridge will persist, reflecting Kuwait’s commitment to providing essential aid to those in need.
