BISHKEK: The Islamic University of Kyrgyzstan Rector Abdishukur Narmatov has awarded an honorary doctorate to the Prophet’s Mosque Imam Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair in recognition of his contributions to Islam and Muslims during his official visit to Kyrgyzstan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
Narmatov, in a ceremony hosted by the university, expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its support of Islam and Muslims.
Al-Budair thanked the university for the honour and stressed the importance of sincerity, integrity, and unity in Islamic scholarship and education.
The university visit is part of Al-Budair’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan, which was arranged by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in coordination with other government agencies and international counterparts.
