ISTANBUL: At the 11th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission, a significant development took place with the signing of a protocol aimed at amending the existing agreement on the international road corridor between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.
This original agreement, dated April 28, 1992, has now been updated to introduce crucial amendments that promise substantial advantages for road carriers involved in bilateral and transit freight transportation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
One of the notable revisions includes the elimination of the requirement for international permits, which previously posed administrative hurdles for road carriers operating between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Furthermore, the amended agreement underscores the commitment of both governments to bolstering connectivity and promoting mutual prosperity through enhanced transportation infrastructure.
