LAHORE: The Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Temir Sariev expressed strong interest in boosting trade volumes between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, focusing particularly on key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, sports goods, food, and surgical products.
He shows this interest during a meeting with a visiting Pakistani trade delegation led by Meher Kashif Younis, who serves as an honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan. The discussions took place at the chamber, as reported by a spokesman for Meher.
Sariev highlighted the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships and economic growth, stating, “Our proactive approach signals a promising opportunity for enhanced collaboration, which will foster economic development. With a strategic focus on these sectors, there is significant scope for expanding trade relations, leveraging each country’s strengths, and meeting global market demands.”
He emphasized their dedication to promoting closer economic ties, foreseeing fruitful trade relations in the future as both nations aim to capitalize on their strengths and achieve sustainable growth.
The President of Kyrgyzstan Trade House in Pakistan, Dr. Shahid Hassan, also participated in the discussions. Sariev stressed the importance of dialogue, partnership, and collaboration in today’s interconnected world, citing the Kyrgyz government’s initiatives as evidence of this commitment.
He expressed optimism about the vast potential for mutually beneficial outcomes through proactive engagement and joint efforts to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
