Kyrgyzstan Could Become Logistics and e-commerce Hub for Central Asia

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: In a significant development, the Kyrgyz Republic is poised to establish itself as a pivotal logistics and e-commerce center for Central Asian countries, hinging on the growth of innovative logistics centers.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Nazarbek Malaev, made this strategic announcement at e-Commerce EXPO 2023.

According to Malaev, the republic is actively working to position itself as the digital nucleus of Central Asia. From both a policy and regulatory standpoint, Kyrgyzstan has achieved noteworthy success in this pursuit. The Deputy Minister stressed that they are committed to optimizing government regulations, enhancing the institutional environment, and creating a conducive atmosphere for e-commerce’s development in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Malaev underscores the dynamism of e-commerce, highlighting that it is not merely about launching online stores and digital service providers. Instead, it’s a multifaceted process characterized by its own set of laws and regulations. The modern economy is inextricably linked with e-commerce, and its continuous expansion into various sectors is increasingly becoming the norm, both locally and globally.
