Tony Navaid Rashid, a man with many talents, passed away on Wednesday in Lahore due to cardiac arrest.
Tony was a well-known TV host, actor, singer, critic, and fashion photographer.
He shot to fame after he hosted Nadia Khan’s PTV programme “Malai Maar Kay” in 2006.
He was also a considerate film critic. He also served on the film jury for the Lux Style Awards.
He had been a part of the film industry for a long time and was regarded as the “encyclopaedia” of the old Lollywood industry because of his solid knowledge of Pakistani film history and its films.
Nadia Khan and Mishi Khan, well-known TV hosts, were good friends of Tony.
Mishi Khan expressed her condolences on social media after learning about the death of versatile actor.
“I lost my best friend today #TonyNavaidRashid. Shocked and unable to speak. Till we meet again, may you rest in peace, Ameen.”
Nadia Khan also shared her sorrow over Tony’s death. She posted a photo of the late artist and stated that she was too devastated to speak.
Artists including Saba Qamar, Maria Wasti and many others also posted comments on social expressing their grief over the death of Tony.
