CAIRO: Hannibal Gaddafi, son of the former Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi, has been shifted from a Lebanese jail to a hospital in “critical condition”, Arab media reported on Sunday.

He went on hunger strike in June in protest at his imprisonment without trial since 2015, Reuter reported. However, citing sources, a UAE based TV stated Gaddafi had suffered a sharp decrease in his blood sugar level.
Hannibal Gaddafi has been charged in Lebanon with hiding information regarding the fate of a Lebanese cleric who disappeared while on a visit to Libya in 1978.
