Legendary Pakistani Actor Qazi Wajid Remembered on Sixth Death Anniversary

ISLAMABAD: The legendary classical drama icon and versatile actor Qazi Wajid was fondly remembered and honored on his 6th death anniversary on Sunday for his lifelong contributions to Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Qazi Wajid remained associated with the industry for twenty-five years and was one of the pioneers of Pakistan’s radio industry. He television in 1966 and earned a huge fan following due to his exemplary acting skills.

Qazi Wajid died on February 11, 2018, in Karachi, due to heart palpitations.

The legendary actor’s career includes unforgettable performances in Pakistan Television (PTV ) classics, including “Khuda Ki Basti,” “Dhoop Kinaray,” and “Tanhaiyan.”

His portrayal of Raja in “Khuda Ki Basti” propelled him to celebrity status across the region.
