Leopard Seen in Pakistan’s Murree

ISLAMABAD: A video has been circulating on social media showing a leopard in Pakistan’s Murree region.

A member of the Wildlife Department stationed in Murree recorded the video showing the big cat near the Highway Police Post.

In the video, the leopard can be seen climbing on a tall tree and executing with a leap into the adjacent jungle.

The leopards have been frequently spotted in Murree in the past.

Earlier a leopard infiltrated in a residential area, resulting in the killing of three goats within a household.

In March, the bullet-riddled body of a leopard was discovered in the Shahdra valley of the Margalla Hills National Park.

In February this year a wild leopard entered a posh housing scheme in Islamabad. It took more than five hours for the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) and the Capital Development Authority to capture the leopard that had injured several people and terrified residents.
