ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police have taken a commendable step by inaugurating a library at the Capital Police College to encourage a culture of learning and intellectual development among police officials.

The newly established library has a diverse collection, including rare manuscripts, legal precedents, historical judgments, references for investigative officers, and research materials from renowned scholars.

This repository serves as a resource for exploring literature and academic works and enhances the creative abilities and sensibilities of the officials involved.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Inspector-General of Islamabad Capital Police (ICCP), emphasized the significance of instilling a passion for reading among officers and officials. To foster this, formalized reading sessions featuring structured books will be organized at the Police Library to ignite and nurture enthusiasm for literature and knowledge.

“Books are the finest companions that enhance one’s personality and foster visionary thinking,” remarked ICCP Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. This initiative aligns with the recent establishment of Writers’ Clubs within the Islamabad Capital Police, attracting enthusiastic participation from officers and officials interested in literature and various arts. —APP
