ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad experienced a welcome relief from the scorching summer heat as light rain and a refreshing breeze turned the weather pleasant in the capital city. The rain decreased temperatures and offered a temporary reprieve from the heatwave that had gripped various parts of Pakistan.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) attributed the rain to a westerly wave impacting the upper regions of the country. This weather phenomenon resulted in scattered showers across Islamabad and other parts of Pakistan, providing respite to residents who had been enduring the sweltering conditions.
The Met Office has forecasted gusty winds and heavy downpours in the evening, which is expected to further alleviate the high temperatures in the twin cities. Meanwhile, mainly hot weather is expected in most parts of the country, southern areas are expected to experience very hot conditions over the next twelve hours.
