ISLAMABAD: The year’s most anticipated and sensational film, “The Legend of Maula Jatt” has been released within Pakistan and worldwide.
This film that eventually debuted in global theaters on October 13, 2022 is a re-make and reboot of most famous and hit movie of Punjabi-language “Maula Jatt”, starring the veterans of Pakistani film industry Sultan Rahi and Mustafa Qureshi in 1979. This movie featuring Pakistani superstars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, and Humaima Malick as playing the key role and is directed by Bilal Lashari, is hailed as the most budgeted film in Pakistani cinema history.
The main emphasis of the film is the storied rivalry between Noori Natt, the head of a vicious gang, and local hero Maula Jatt as in the original movie “Maula Jatt”. Fawad Khan is playing the role of Maula Jatt and movie’s main focus is the chemistry between Maula and Noori. He works as a prizefighter and competes as the ruggedly attractive Maula in gladiatorial fights. Even while his appearance is not particularly “sexy” by today’s standards, it fully supports the character’s desire in the film.
Hamza Ali Abbasi is playing the role of Nori Natt’s portrayed as being bloody, ferocious, and powerful, and he seeks a “deserving challenger to make him bleed.” His long hair, thick beard, and black kohled eyes give him the appropriately scary appearance for the part. Belts and swords are used as accessories to complete his attire.
The other cast of “The Legend of Maula Jatt” is Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Nayyer Ejaz, Shafqat Cheema, Raheela Agha, Zia Khan, and Saima Baloch appearing to play a supporting role. The Legend of Maula Jatt’s dialogue and script were created by experienced screenwriter Nasir Adeeb and Lashari, who also authored the 1979 original. This film is jointly produced by Ammara Hikmat’s Encyclomedia and Lashari Films.
