London: Protestors Demand Gaza Ceasefire

LONDON: A large number of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered at London’s Liverpool Street station on Tuesday, demanding cease-fire in Gaza.

According to Reuters, a large number of people held a protest demonstration against war in Gaza. The protestors were waving pro-Palestinian banners and flags to express solidarity with the people of Palestine. Some protestors were chanting slogans “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”. Earlier, the protestors held a pro-Palestinian demonstration at Waterloo station on Saturday.

Gaza health officials say that more than 8,525 people, including 3,542 children, have been martyred in Israeli barbaric attacks since October. 7. Similarly, UN said that over 1.4 million of Gaza’s civilian population of 2.3 million have been made homeless after the Israeli barbarism.

Earlier, the United Nations sounded a distressing alarm on Tuesday, declaring the Gaza Strip a “graveyard” for thousands of innocent Palestinian children as Israel intensified brutalities against Palestinians. Since October 7, Israel has relentlessly bombarded Gaza, resulting in a devastating toll on civilians, particularly children.

UNICEF urgently called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, demanding that all access crossings into Gaza be opened to facilitate safe, sustained, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, including water, food, medical supplies, and fuel.
