LONDON: London, renowned for its diverse culinary scene, is now offering an exclusive dining experience to those who wish to indulge in the opulence of a state banquet. Despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis in the UK, food enthusiasts with deep pockets can partake in a royal feast reminiscent of the state banquet hosted for King Charles III during his recent state visit to France.

Pavyllon, the esteemed restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alleno, located at the Four Seasons hotel on Park Lane, will host the gastronomic event on Monday. The menu, meticulously crafted by renowned French chefs Anne-Sophie Pic and Yannick Alleno, promises an exquisite culinary journey for the discerning diners.

The extravagant feast begins with Anne-Sophie Pic’s tantalizing creation: blue lobster and brown crab paired with fresh almond voile and costmary mint. Following this delectable starter is Yannick Alleno’s main course featuring Bresse poultry complemented by gratinated cepes, romaine stuffed with corn, and truffle. To conclude the royal banquet, celebrated patissier Pierre Herme has prepared a dessert inspired by his iconic Ispahan macaron, featuring raspberry, lychee, and rose sorbet.

Dine Like a King at Memorable Occasion

While the state banquet was originally planned to be held at the illustrious Hall of Mirrors in the Versailles palace near Paris on September 20, it was rescheduled due to civil unrest in France related to pension reforms. The rescheduled banquet maintained its grandeur, hosting luminaries from both sides of the Channel, including notable figures such as Mick Jagger, Hugh Grant, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Diners at Pavyllon will have the unique opportunity to relish the same culinary delights savored by royalty during this memorable state occasion. The exclusive experience, priced at £275 ($335) per person, excludes the cost of wine. Despite the lavish menu, places for this extraordinary dining event are still available for those seeking a taste of royal indulgence in the heart of London.
