Lt Col Among Four Soldiers Martyred, Three Terrorists Killed During Security Forces Operation in Khyber

RAWALPINDI: Four brave soldiers, including a Lieutenant Colonel, of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom, while three terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation by security forces on Monday in the Tirah area of Khyber district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

According to ISPR, on 6 November 2023, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Tirah area of Khyber district on the reported presence of terrorists.

During the conduct of the operation, Pakistan’s security forces, led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. During the operation, three terrorists were killed, while three terrorists were injured, ISPR said.

Four Soldiers Martyred in Tirah Operation

However, during an intense exchange of fire, four brave sons of soil; Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider (age: 43 years, resident of Islamabad), Naik Khushdil Khan (age: 31 years, resident of Lakki Marwat district), Naik Rafique Khan (age: 27 years, resident of Charsadda district) and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir (age: 33 years, resident of Murree district), having fought gallantly embraced martyrdom, ISPR stated.

Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, ISPR reaffirmed.
