Magnificent Shah Faisal Mosque Attracts Tourists

ISLAMABAD: Shah Faisal Mosque, one of Pakistan’s biggest mosques, has long attracted domestic tourists and foreign dignitaries due to its architectural design and beauty in the heart of the green Margalla Hills.

Talking to APP, Zulfiqar Ali, living in G-9 sector, said he along with his family often visits and offers prayers in the Shah Faisal Mosque, where its great architecture always fascinates them, as it has been designed in a very unique style.

“The cleanliness in the mosque and its location beside Margalla hills make it very attractive for visitors,” he said.

He said that the lovely season of winter and a peaceful atmosphere are also key factors to attract ys.

He added that the security arrangements, food, and book stalls made their day, despite the cold weather.

Sajid Ali, a visitor from Karachi, said, “Visits to the mosque boost the religious enthusiasm of people. He said that women should be allowed to enter the mosque’s main hall.

He further said that the cleanliness system should be further improved and security arrangements should be tightened.

Shah Faisal Mosque, located in the scenic area of Margalla Hills, is a stunning and magnificent structure located in the capital, named after its benefactor, the former Saudi king Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He donated a colossal grant of 120 million dollars for constructing the mosque in Pakistan during his visit in 1966.
