ISLAMABAD: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Pakistan during the next twelve hours.
However, rain with wind-thunderstorm and snowfall over mountains is expected at isolated areas in Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
In certain plain areas of Punjab, fog may persist during the morning hours. Here are the morning temperatures for major cities: Islamabad 4°C, Lahore 9°C, Karachi 18°C, Peshawar 5°C, Quetta and Murree -2°C, Gilgit -1°C, and Muzaffarabad 3°C.
In the forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), cloudy weather with possible rain and snow is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. However, Jammu is likely to experience cold and dry weather with fog. Morning temperatures were recorded as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Anantnag -1°C, Jammu 7°C, Leh -8°C, and Shopian and Baramula -2°C.
