Mainly Hot, Dry Weather Predicted in Most Areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, with very hot conditions and dust-raising winds likely in the central and southern regions over the next twelve hours, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) office said in a statement on Saturday.

However, during the evening and night, partly cloudy weather with rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms is predicted at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Central Balochistan, Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir, the statement added. Additionally, hailstorms may occur in isolated areas of lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, and Islamabad during this period, it maintained.

This morning, the temperatures recorded in major cities were as follows:

Islamabad at 25 degrees Celsius, Lahore at 31 degrees, Karachi at 28 degrees, Peshawar at 26 degrees, Quetta at 20 degrees, Gilgit at 17 degrees, Murree at 18 degrees, and Muzaffarabad at 21 degrees.

For the weather forecast in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain and thunderstorms is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Jammu is expected to have partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms.

This morning’s temperatures in these areas were recorded as follows: Srinagar and Anantnag at 15 degrees Celsius, Jammu at 27 degrees, Leh at 4 degrees, Pulwama and Baramula at 14 degrees, and Shopian at 13 degrees.
