LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Pakistan’s fast bowler Ihsanullah will miss the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 due to an injury. Ihsanullah, who impressed with his performance in the eighth edition of the PSL by taking the second-highest number of wickets – 22 in total, began experiencing elbow discomfort after the tournament, leading to the need for surgery.

This setback poses a challenge for Multan Sultans as they now have to reconsider their strategy for PSL season 9, especially with their other fast bowler, England’s Rees Topley, also unavailable. Topley’s absence is due to the non-issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the England Cricket Board (ECB).

PSL 9 is scheduled to take place in four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the final match set for Karachi on March 18. The season will consist of 14 matches, running from February 17 to February 27.
