MAKKAH: Hotels in Makkah are preparing for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations by offering accommodation packages for families and friends to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Many hotels are looking to make the experience even more enjoyable for pilgrims, with some decorating their lobbies to add to the festive atmosphere.

Saad Al-Qurashi, a member of the National Committee for Umrah and Hajj, said that pilgrims in Makkah during Eid-ul-Fitr would have the opportunity to combine their spiritual experience with joy.

The hotels mainly located around the Grand Mosque and parts of Ajyad, Misfalah, and the tunnels of Mahbas Al-Jin and Aziziyah are gearing up to serve pilgrims during this festive season.

Aziziyah, which is preferred by GCC and Turkish pilgrims, is also home to a variety of international brands, making it a popular shopping destination.

Following the downturn during the COVID-19 pandemic, shops in Makkah are witnessing an increase in trade. Many shops are now open until late hours to cater to the demands of pilgrims.

Makkah hotels offering around the clock service to pilgrims

Fadel Manqal, a hotel manager in the central area, said that everyone is working around the clock to serve pilgrims and provide them with all that is required for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff tries to communicate with visitors in their native language to make the experience more enjoyable.

Makkah is home to some 1,400 hotels, with employees aware of the diversity of their guests, and they strive to meet all their requirements.

Manqal added that the quality of services should reflect the sophistication and openness that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is experiencing. Hotels must actively participate in preparing inspiring experiences to make sure guests enjoy a memorable Eid-ul-Fitr, especially if they are away from their beloved families and relatives.

He added that they aim to leave a distinctive imprint and enrich the cultural experience, allowing pilgrims of all nationalities to enjoy Eid-ul-Fitr.

The hotels in Makkah promise to make Eid-ul-Fitr a memorable occasion for pilgrims, providing them with the opportunity to mix spirituality with joy while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
