CALIFORNIA: Mayor Bruce Silverstein of Malibu has initiated an investigation into reality star Kourtney Kardashian’s alleged misuse of a party permit for a promotional event. The application filed by Kardashian’s event planner requested an “Emergency Expedited Permit for Large Event” at a vacant single-family house, citing it as the location for Kourtney’s baby shower.

However, Mayor Silverstein revealed that the application stated there would be 94 guests, while approximately 600 people attended the event held at a rented property. Notably, none of the Kardashians were present at the gathering, which was supposed to be Kourtney’s baby shower, and it listed notable guests like Ariana Grande and Diplo.
Expressing his disappointment, the mayor issued a statement criticizing city officials for allegedly favoring celebrities and the wealthy over residents.
Mayor Silverstein further explained that he had been told the event was a baby shower but was later informed by the event planner that the house was being “rented” for an “influencer event.”
To address the situation, the mayor scheduled a City Council meeting for Monday to determine whether any city officials were involved. He also called for an internal investigation into the matter.
