Man Caught Stealing Sacrificial Animals in Karachi

KARACHI: The residents arrested a man and his family who were allegedly stealing sacrificial goats in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal district on Friday, according to a local media.

A man and his family were spotted in a car in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 10-A while taking sacrificial animals. The locals noticed the man stealing the goats in the car occupied by his family members, including women and children.

The locals arrested and tortured the alleged thief for stealing the sacrificial animals. Enraged people also seized his vehicle and shattered the window glass. Police rushed to the site after receiving reports and arrested the accused. According to authorities, the accused has been sent to a police station and is being interrogated.

More than 60 sacrificial animals were stolen and snatched in Karachi yesterday, just days before Eidul Azha. As many as 40 goats were stolen from an empty plot in North Karachi Sector 7-A while thieves stole two goats after breaking the shutter of a shop in Yaseenabad. A cow was stolen from an apartment near Frere police station.

A sacrificial cow was stolen in a vehicle in the Dalmia area, while four sacrificial animals were taken at gunpoint from the Orangi Town Sector 11/5 area. Five animals were stolen from Baloch Bridge while a sacrificial bull was driven away from the Baldia Town 5/5 number area of the city, according to media reports.
