ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly killed his son, daughter-in-law and three grandsons in Gujrat suburb in district Mardan over a domestic issue on Tuesday.
According to police, the tragic incident took place in the Chauraha area, where the alleged accused, Usman Ghani, had a heated argument with the victims over a domestic dispute and opened fire with a weapon, killing the couple and their three children on the spot.
The suspect fled the scene after murdering his five family members, police said.
The victims were identified as Farkhan, 29, his wife Farkhan, 24, their sons Afzal, 12, Rohail, 6 and their six-year-old daughter Alina. Police sifted the bodies to the district headquarters hospital Mardan for medico-legal formalities.
