Marriage Case: Court Orders to Produce Imran Khan on October 2

ISLAMABAD: A lower court on Monday directed the authorities to produce the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) before it on 2 October, in a case pertaining to his marriage with Bushra Bibi.

Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the case pertaining to the marriage of the ex-prime minister, allegedly against the ‘ Sharia’.

During the course of the proceeding, a letter from Superintendent Attock Jail was presented before the court, in which the administration said that the PTI chief could not be produced before the court due to security problems.

On this occasion, the associate lawyer of special prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi requested the court to adjourn the hearing for today and said that the prosecutor could not appear due to engagements in the top court.

Imran Khan to be Shifted from Attock to Adiala Jail

Sher Afzal Marawat, Chairman PTI’s lawyer, requested the court to issue orders for the production of his client, as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had ordered to shift him to Adiala Jail from Attock Jail.

The court adjourned the case until 2 October.
