ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, has asked Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to apologize to the nation for the havocs he wreaked on Pakistan during his government instead of issuing white papers on the economic situation.

Talking to journalists in Islamabad on Tuesday, she slammed Imran Khan for issuing a so-called White Paper on the coalition government’s performance. She urged him to issue a white paper on his performance over the last four years.

She said no white paper could whiten Imran Khan’s black thefts and corruption. She mentioned with concern that PTI has been in power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the last nine years but could not establish a single institution to counter-terrorism, and today, terrorism is sprouting there once again, posing a challenge to the whole country.

The Minister said when the PML-N government ended in 2018, the country was making progress with a stable economic outlook, and all the CPEC projects were running successfully.

She lamented that Imran Khan compromised the country’s stance on major fronts like the Kashmir issue and destroyed the economy.

The Minister said Imran Khan left the country on the brink of economic default, and the PDM government, through tough decisions, is trying to put it back on the path of stability.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government is making tireless efforts to take the country out of the problem Imran Khan created during his tenure. She said that Imran Khan was here with a white paper to hoodwink the people.
