RAWALPINDI: The funeral prayer of a Havaldar of the Pakistan Army, who embraced martyrdom in the Zhob district of Balochistan, was offered in his native hometown of Dera Bugti, a military statement said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, Havaldar Jamshir Khan, a 39-year-old soldier, was martyred in a failed terrorist attack on a Frontier Corps’ Check Post in the Zhob district of Balochistan.

The statement further stated that the martyr was laid to rest with full military honors, and senior serving officers, soldiers, relatives, and a large number of local elders and people attended the funeral.

The sacrifices made by martyrs like Havaldar Khan only serve to strengthen the nation’s resolve and determination in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

It is pertinent to mention here that security forces on Wednesday effectively thwarted an attempted attack on a Frontier Corps’ Post in the Zhob district of Balochistan and killed two terrorists, including a suicide bomber and HVT terrorist, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.

According to ISPR, in the early hours of October 09, a group of terrorists tried to attack a Frontier Corps’ Post in Zhob district.

The attempt to enter the FC camp was effectively thwarted by the security forces personnel, and resultantly two terrorists, including a suicide bomber and HVT Terrorist Umar @ Umari, were sent to hell, before they could cause the intended damage, ISPR stated.

“Terrorist Umar@ Umari was involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians, including the recent attack on a convoy of Deputy Commissioner, Sherani,” ISPR said.
