ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the police action against the protesting teachers in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, terming it a shameful act.

She said that the assault and pelting of stones on teachers by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was a deplorable and disgraceful act.

“Teachers held the Haqeeqi Azadi march at the Peshawar Assembly Chowk to get rid of Imran Khan’s fascism and tyranny. The payment of salaries and pension to the working and retired government employees in KP had been stopped on the orders of Imran Khan”, she said.

Criticizing the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, she said that Khan is stoning the teachers in KP on demanding salaries.
