MUMBAI: The re-release of Pakistan’s Mawra Hocane’s Bollywood debut film Sanam Teri Kasam has taken the Indian box office by storm.
Originally released in 2016, the film, starring Mawra and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, has surpassed its previous earnings within just two days of its re-release, grossing between $345,554 and $374,349, bringing its total to an impressive $2,129,786, according to The Indian Express.
On Monday, the film, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra in lead roles, recorded a domestic net collection of $ 345,554 to $ 374,349 bringing its total to $ 2,129,786. This marks a significant increase from its 2016 earnings of $ 1,036,777.
Sanam Teri Kasam was written by Rao and Sapru themselves and featured actors Manish Chaudhari, Pyumori Mehta, Divyetta Singh, Murli Sharma, and Sudesh Berry in key roles.
The music of the film was composed by Himesh Reshammiya and the cinematography by Chirantan Das.

The milestone comes just days after Mawra’s intimate wedding to actor Gillani, which has garnered attention and affection from both fans and industry fellows.
Mawra Hocane, widely known for her performances in numerous hit television dramas, has established herself as a leading actress in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Ameer Gilani, an actor and singer, gained prominence with Sabaat, in which his pairing with Hocane was particularly well received.
