LONDON: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received scathing criticism following an important staff departure just ahead of their scheduled tour of Colombia. The couple’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, resigned after a mere three months in the role, marking the 18th staff departure since the couple’s marriage in 2018.

The news of Kettler’s resignation has intensified criticism directed at Meghan Markle, with prominent TV presenter Eamonn Holmes questioning her impact and influence.

Speaking on GB News, Holmes remarked, “I can’t think of a single thing Meghan has successfully impacted, despite her aspirations to be an influencer.” Holmes’ comments reflect ongoing public skepticism about the effectiveness and public influence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Holmes’s criticism was echoed by commentator Clare Muldoon, who raised concerns over the couple’s decision to embark on a tour of Colombia, a country known for its safety challenges. Muldoon suggested that the choice of destination appears incongruent with the couple’s stated concerns about their safety and that of their children.

“They claim that Britain is not safe enough for them and their children, yet they are choosing to travel to Colombia, one of the most dangerous countries in the world,” Muldoon said. “It seems that working for them is also quite risky, as evidenced by the departure of their 18th staff member since their marriage.”

The decision to visit Colombia has drawn further criticism due to the country’s troubled history with violence and security issues, raising questions about the couple’s priorities and risk management. Despite this, Meghan and Harry’s representatives have not yet provided a detailed response to the growing backlash or the reasons behind Kettler’s abrupt departure.
