Met Office Forecasts Dry Weather in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather in most parts of the country and day temperatures have been predicted in plain areas.

Maximum temperatures recorded

The Met Office recorded the maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in Mithi, 37 degrees °C in Shaheed Benazirabad, Tando Jam, Chhor, and Thatta.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Air Quality and Weather 

As per the air quality index (AQI), the air quality in Rawalpindi stands at 171 US AQI, 239 in Lahore, 149 in Mangla, and 241 in Muridke. In Sindh, the air quality is 199 in Karachi, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 114. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, air quality is 158 in Peshawar and 67 in Abbottabad.

As per the PMD, the maximum of 11 degrees °C temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 17°C in Lahore, 19°C in Karachi, 14.5°C in Peshawar, and 8°C in Gilgit.
