ISLAMABAD: Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over various parts of Pakistan during the upcoming twelve hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Friday. However, isolated rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are expected in the Pothohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir.
Temperature of major cities recorded on Friday’s morning: Islamabad, Peshawar, and Muzaffarabad all reported 24°C, Lahore 33°C, Karachi 30°C, Quetta 20°C, Gilgit 18°C, and Murree 19°C.
According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), partly cloudy conditions with chances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Srinagar, Pulwama, Leh, Anantnag, and Shopian. In Jammu, hot weather is expected with the possibility of windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated rain.
This morning’s temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir were recorded as: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramulla at 16°C, Jammu at 28°C, Leh at 7°C, and Anantnag and Shopian at 17°C.
