ISLAMABAD: Rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the mountains) is expected in various parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, northeast and central Punjab and north Baluchistan from Saturday night till Monday.
As reported by Met Office a westerly wave was affecting the western and upper parts of the country and was likely to further intensify on Sunday and Monday.
Rain with Snowfall
Moderate to isolated heavy snowfall may occur in mountain areas of northern Pakistan Murre, Galyat, Kashmir, GB, Lowari Top, and other hilly areas. Isolated heavy falls/hailstorm is also expected in the upper parts during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours with a little more intensity in the upper parts and north Baluchistan.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Leh -14 C, Kalam -11, Chitral, Gupis -08, Parachinar -07, Malamjabba, Astore, Kalat -06, Skardu and Mirkhani Quetta -05 C.
