Mild Quake Shocks Felt Across Northwest Pakistan

PESHAWAR:  Mild earthquake tremors were felt across several areas in northern Pakistan, including Upper Dir and Chitral, early on Monday morning.  Pakistan’s Seismological Center has recorded the quake at a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.

The tremors, which caused brief panic among locals, were also felt in other areas such as Bathkela, Malakand, Mingora, Swat, and Shangla. However, no immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received after the earthquake.

According to the Seismological Center, the quake had a depth of 151 km, with its epicenter located in the Hindukush Mountain range.
