Minister Vows to Ensure Safety of Pakistani Students in Kyrgyzstan

ISLAMABAD: On the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has welcomed Pakistani students upon their arrival at Islamabad Airport from Bishkek following violent mob attacks.

Talking to the media, the minister highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif promptly intervened to safeguard Pakistani students post the distressing incident, personally overseeing the situation’s developments. Amir Muqam personally inquired about the students’ well-being and assured that the Government of Pakistan stands ready to provide all necessary assistance to those desiring to return home.

Furthermore, the minister disclosed plans for additional flights to repatriate more students, emphasizing the paramount importance of ensuring the safety of all Pakistanis, both at home and abroad. He reiterated that the safety of Pakistani students remains the government’s foremost priority.

Engaging directly with the students affected by the unfortunate events in Bishkek, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam listened to their concerns and promised to address their concerns. He underscored that Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan are cherished members of the nation, expressing gratitude to Allah Almighty for their safe return home.
