WASHINGTON: Members of the Ministerial Committee, mandated by the Riyadh-hosted Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit and headed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, held a press briefing today for representatives of global media outlets in Washington, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Participating in the press briefing were Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al Thani, Jordan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh Al-Malki, and Türkiye Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Members of the committee highlighted the need for imposing an immediate truce in Gaza and protecting innocent civilians from the killing machine of the Israeli occupation troops, saying that any talk regarding the future of Gaza and the Palestinian question must come after the truce and end of the unfair military escalation, the SPA reported.

They stated that the international community’s reluctance to impose a truce and find a solution to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip would increase death toll and also worsen the humanitarian situation.
They also called on the world to immediately act and take serious measures to ensure the delivery of humanitarian, food, and medical help to the Gaza Strip, rejecting restrictions of the entry of relief aid into Gaza, the SPA maintained.
