Miracle: Turkish Woman Recused From Quake Rubble after 104 Hours

ISLAMABAD: Rescue workers pulled a female alive out of the debris of a collapsed building in Turkiye on Friday, prompting cheers from bystanders about 104 hours following she was buried by the massive earthquake.

German Rescue workers carefully lifted Zeynep Kahraman on a stretcher in the town of Kirikhan into an ambulance.

Steven Bayer, the head of the International Rescue team, said that now “I believe in miracles”. He said that they saw the people crying and hugging each other, and it was such a great relief that this woman, under such conditions, came out so fit. It’s an absolute miracle, he remarked.

Rescuers pulled kids alive from the debris of the Turkiye-Syria quake as the toll surpassed more than 22,000. In the 105th hour, rescue workers pulled 18-month-old Yusuf Huseyin from the wreckage in Antakya, Turkey. After twenty minutes, they saved seven-year-old Muhammed Huseyin, local media reported.

In Adiyaman province of Turkey, rescuers saved a 60-year-old Eyup Ak, and in Gaziantep, two people were rescued alive, including a child.

Earlier, Turkiye’s President Tayyip Erdogan visited the quake-hit parts of the country and said that it is impossible to be prepared for such a huge natural disaster. He asked the people that it was time to demonstrate unity and solidarity.
