More 170 Students Land in Multan from Kyrgyzstan

MULTAN: As many as 170 Pakistani students from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan have arrived at Multan International Airport (MIAP) on an Aero Nomad Airline flight, local media reported on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Civil Aviation (PCAA) stated that flight ANK 4587, carrying 170 students and six crew members, landed at 3:44 am today.

The spokesperson noted that airport and Overseas Pakistan Foundation (OPF) officials received the students and provided them refreshments. Additionally, transport was also arranged for 23 students to be taken to other cities of the country.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the causes and factors behind the mob attacks on students in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad, he said that the committee will also examine the role of the Pakistani Mission in Bishkek regarding the facilitation of students.

The Foreign Minister said that the committee will coordinate with Kyrgyz authorities, review all findings and developments in Bishkek, and submit its report within two weeks.
