More Than Five Million Muslims Perform Prayers at Prophet’s Mosque Last Week

MADINAH: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has revealed that 5,201,876 Muslims visited the Prophet’s Mosque last week, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on

The visitors received integrated and high-quality services and performed their prayers smoothly and efficiently.

The statistics issued by the authority showed that 515,800 visited the Prophet’s Mosque, and 261,272 visitors performed prayers in the Holy Rawdah according to organizational procedures that control the movement of the crowds and schedule times for optional prayers for men and women. According to the statistics 66,994 people benefited from translation services.

Field services included extensive sanitation efforts, with the utilization of 24,303 liters of disinfectant.

Additionally, 1,505 tons of Zamzam water was provided, and 174 samples were collected for testing and analysis. The authority also distributed 143,303 Iftar meals at specific areas for fasting individuals within the Prophet’s Mosque.
