ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman has proposed to expand the radius of reconciliation process for political stability and build ideological consensus for economic prosperity across the country.

Expressing his concerns at the floor of National Assembly during budget debate, the JUI-F leader said every sector had been taxed in the Budget which has caused inflation and limited the purchasing power of a common citizen in the country.

He said that the government should invest public tax money on their well-being and provide them all basic amenities including legal rights, social facilities, and economic opportunities. He added that it would help build confidence of the people to pay taxes in the national kitty.

Mualana lamented that the internally displaced persons (IDPs) whose homes were damaged due to military operations in erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas had not provided financial aid for their rehabilitation yet.

He further said that the government should implement tangible conditions on those people living at Pakistan and Afghanistan borders.
