Muhammad Hafeez Steps Down as Director Pakistan Cricket Team

ISLAMABAD: Former opening batter and skipper of the Pakistan cricket team Muhammad Hafeez stepped down as director of the national cricket team on Thursday.

According to media reports, the contract of Muhammad Hafeez had expired on December 15, 2023; however, he applied for an extension in his contract, which was not extended. Consequently, he stepped down from the post of Director Cricket.

Media reports further revealed that Muhammad Hafeez was willing to continue his services with PCB; however officials in the cricket board informed him that there would be no possibility of the extension of his contract.

The reports further mentioned that PCB wanted to hire foreign coaching staff for the upcoming season.
