ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization, lashed out at the international community and United Nations (UN) for adopting a “deaf and dump approach” towards assisting Kashmir, which, she said, they can’t even hear the heart-wrenching pleas of Kashmiri innocent daughters demanding the release of their fathers illegally held in Indian jails for years.

Mushaal said in a statement that in Baramulla district several families along with their children protested in Srinagar’s press colony against the delay in trials of their relatives held in Indian jails for many years.

She said that the innocent little daughters of incarcerated Kashmiri fathers were demanding their release on a fast-track basis with heavy hearts and eyes full of tears. They know that their fathers are being harshly treated by the fascist Indian government.

The Hurriyat leader said that the notorious Indian government was brazenly violating the fundamental rights of people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and unleashed state terrorism there, but the so-called civilized world was completely silent on the worst human rights abuses in the valley.

She said that a little girl, who did not see her father for the past 5 years, was crying seeking to meet her incarcerated father.

Mushaal urges human rights organizations to review their approach

The chairperson urged human rights organizations and world powers to listen to the pleas of the innocent daughters who wanted the release of their fathers held in Indian jails in fake and politically-motivated cases.
