MUZAFFARGARH: Punjab Arts Council has announced to host a music competition called ‘Nai Awaz Ki Talash’ to encourage the new singers at district, divisional and provincial level from mid- May 2024.
Prospective participants aged between 14 and 30 can register to participate, as per an official announcement released on Thursday.
The district-level contests are scheduled to commence in Layyah district on May 13, followed by Muzaffargarh on May 14, Rajanpur on May 15, and Dera Ghazi Khan on May 16.
Winners of the district-level competitions will advance to the divisional level contest, slated for May 17 in Dera Ghazi Khan. The first-place winner at the district level will receive a cash prize of Rs 20,000, with the second and third-place winners receiving Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively.
At the divisional level, the top three prizes will be Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000, and Rs 20,000, while the winner of the provincial-level contest will be awarded Rs 200,000. The second and third-place winners at the provincial level will receive Rs 150,000 and Rs 100,000, respectively.
