Muslim Hands’ Open Kitchen Distributes Sacrificial Meat to Share Eid Joy

LONDON: The Open Kitchen, an initiative of the Muslim Hands has distributed meat of the sacrificial animals among the local public to share the joy of Eid-ul-Adha.

The Muslim Hands has been carrying out the exercise in Hounslow, London for the past three years benefiting hundreds of people.

Sahibzada Ghulam Jilani, Director of Muslim Hands said the initiative not only helped the deserving people of the area but the refugees from different countries who are not able to buy meat due to inflation. Senior officials of the London-based NGO were also present on the occasion.  Sahibzada Ghulam Jilani also led a prayer before the distribution of the sacrificial meat.

Co-Founder ‘Muslim Hands Open Kitchen’, Ehsan Shahid Choudhry has also been awarded the British Empire Medal in recognition of his social services.

Belonging to Hounslow of West London, he is the first Pakistani-Britain to get the honour. Shahid started the kitchen four years ago in collaboration with Muslim Hands International in Hounslow to offer free of cost meals and other things to the needy.

The kitchen also played a big role in providing relief to the families and thousands of workers who were jobless during covid pandemic.
