Muslim World League Head Meets Cairo University President

RABAT:  The chief of the Muslim World League and president of the League of Islamic Universities Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa has held a meeting with Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, in Rabat, Arab media reported on Wednesday.

Muslim World League Head Meets Cairo University President

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Association of Islamic Universities’ scientific conference, which was organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, Arab News maintained.

They discussed several topics, including freedom of speech and religious discourse during the meeting. The two sides also discussed Islamic law’s values about human rights, including stopping the incitement of hatred and conflict under the pretext of freedom of speech and expression.

The conference was attended by senior scholars, heads of major universities in the Arab and Islamic world, and muftis. Academics and scholars from Western universities and global research centers also attended the conference.
