RIYADH: The Secretary General of the Muslim World League met with Justin Welby, archbishop of Canterbury, at Lambeth Palace, London, Arab media reported on Thursday. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) believes that religious harmony is the basis for coexistence, as it aims to fight hate speech in all its shapes.

Secretary General of the Muslim World League Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa said in a statement via his Twitter account that they discussed matters of common interest during the meeting. He added that there is a need for cooperation among religious leaders to counter extremism and promote common values. Justin Welby is the principal leader of the Church of England and the ceremonial chief of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
