ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change on Friday expressed concerns over the site selection for plantation of trees while discussing the agenda item regarding Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Program (TBTTP).
The committee directed the Ministry of Climate Change to provide detailed report in the next meeting on the criteria of choosing 17,000 sites where the saplings were planted.
The Committee also decided to invite chief secretaries of all the provinces in its coming meetings to have a briefing about their contribution in the Green Pakistan Program.
Senior officers of Ministry of Climate Change and its attached departments and organizations also attended the meeting.
